You Don't Know Ball (YDKB) · Updated November 1, 2026The short version
You can play YDKB without an account. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
What stays on your device
Your score, streak, Daily results, filters and settings are saved only on your phone or browser. Deleting the app or clearing your browser data removes them.
What we collect if you join the leaderboard
- The name you type for the leaderboard (use a nickname if you like).
- The school you pick for the school-vs-school board, if you choose one.
- Your game totals (points, players guessed, give-ups, best streak).
These are stored in Google Firebase so the leaderboard can show them to other players. Nothing is sent unless you save a leaderboard name.
Challenge links
When you challenge a friend, the link contains the player, your clue count and the name you entered. It is shared only where you choose to send it.
Notifications
The optional Daily reminder is scheduled on your device. We don't collect a push token.
Kids
YDKB isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Removing your leaderboard entry
Email youdontknowballhq@gmail.com with the name you used and we'll delete it.
